Bach’s St John Passion was first intended to be performed in the St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, but due to a last-minute change by the music council, it was first performed in 1724 in the St. Nicholas Church. This happy unfolding of events inspired the design for our concert poster to reflect the unique look and feel of St. Nicholas Church.
